Canadian Resident vacationing in US (Snowbirds)

Foreigner moving to US

Payable prior to the import :
- 5% GST (Goods & Services Tax) on the value of the vehicle
- $100 CAD if the vehicle is equipped with A/C
- 6.1% duty if the vehicle was manufactured outside of North America (i.e.Japan,Korea,Germany) - not applicable on 25 yrs. or older or motorcycles of any age.
